I used CI and similar methods, but not for CDS specifically. One colleague with HCI expertise might be a good reference for methods/pubs, happy to intro if you're interested http://www.deankaravite.com/ deankaravite.comdeankaravite.com Dean Karavite's Web Page Dean Karavite has experience in outcomes research, healthcare information technology, human computer interaction and assistive technology.

Galavanting around the planet for years and asking "whats in your bag" = cushy gig if you can get it. And yes, Jan's book is good (and gorgeous). All hail, Design. Design is dead.

We've worked on over a dozen CDS services, some with field studies, some with expert review, etc. What discipline of medicine are you jamming on? Adults vs kiddos? etc PS: CDS licensing is a fustercluck. AHRQ hasn't had the fortitude to put together a legal framework for using artifacts. @$!#!@

FluxNotes, an open source CDS/problem-oriented service, that sat on top of Epic, piloted for validating MCODE at Dana Farber: https://github.com/standardhealth/shr-design/tree/master/Flux%20Notes I believe several companies have used it for testing CDS (Optum CDS group leveraged FluxNotes for their own CDS work).

so cool @juhan ! right now we used https://arxiv.org/abs/1904.05342 to do billing revenue cycle / clinical documentation improvement for the NYP/CUMC system and fund our open source work. my next goal is to use what we've built to predict hospital wide quality measures such as readmission. would love to think through our roadmap to doing this with you :slightly_smiling_face: arXiv.orgarXiv.org ClinicalBERT: Modeling Clinical Notes and Predicting Hospital Readmission Clinical notes contain information about patients that goes beyond structured data like lab values and medications. However, clinical notes have been underused relative to structured data, because...
