Context

There are at least two use cases with different configurations.

1. The patient's computing device is attached to the Web for personal interactions as well as interfacing to local health monitoring devices.
2. The health monitoring device is directly connected to the Internet.

• Mitigating Cybersecurity Risk in Telehealth Smart Home Integration. On 2022-05-25 the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) hosted a virtual workshop on the NCCoE project description, Mitigating Cybersecurity Risk in Telehealth Smart Home Integration. This workshop brought together healthcare delivery organizations (HDOs) and technology providers to discuss the use of smart home devices as part of a telehealth solution. The workshop featured three panel discussions to examine the following topics:

1. HDO views and goals for incorporating novel technologies in the healthcare space
2. Technology readiness of smart home devices (e.g., smart speakers, voice activated technology) in the healthcare space
3. Challenges, concerns, and lessons learned regarding privacy, security, and technology adoption and how the NCCoE might address them.
