The idea that a user of a [[Browser]] can indicate their intent as a part of a GET or POST message.

==Context==
Do Not Track (DNT) was a header that could be placed in a HTTP header. The objective was to tell the web site that they were not to track the user as the user navigated around the web.

==Problems==
# Advertisers want to track users.
# Google grew to the size that they are by allowing the advertisers to track the users and thus allow Google to charge more for the ads.
# [[Intent Casting]] would never be adopted widely without government regulation.
