Full Title or Meme
The idea that a user of a Browser can indicate their intent as a part of a GET or POST message.
Context
Do Not Track (DNT) was a header that could be placed in a HTTP header. The objective was to tell the web site that they were not to track the user as the user navigated around the web.
Problems
- Advertisers want to track users.
- Google grew to the size that they are by allowing the advertisers to track the users and thus allow Google to charge more for the ads.
- This would never work without government regulation.
