Context
- The typical mobile device is a cell phone. Since active Device Management is focused on Smartphones, this wiki will be similarly focused.
- It is likely that other devices can be similarly managed, but the primary user focus will be a human holder of a Smartphone.
Problems
Solutions
- Apple acquired Fleetsmith MDM in June 2020 to support small business users which had been neglected by Apple till then. Since then Apple introduced business essentials and so has indicated that Fleetsmith is to be discontinued in October 2022.
