As opposed to a Client-Server Network, a Peer-to-Peer Network treats both parties to a network connection as equals.
Context
Typically, this term is used with transport connections like TLS, as opposed to network connections like IP which are described as Peer-to-Peer Networks, although there was an effort to use them for remote users, that effort turned out to be not very user friendly.
