The Premise

Antithesis: AI as a centralized, generative filter that collapses diversity into synthesized outputs.

Synthesis: A new order where AI and the web are bound together in mutual obligation — AI as steward, not predator, of the commons.

Principles of Harmony

• Reciprocity - AI must not only extract from the web but also give back — through citation, compensation, and reinforcement of the sources it draws upon.
• Transparency with Privacy - AI outputs must be auditable, traceable to origins, yet protective of individual dignity and consent.
• Human Sovereignty - Agents may act, but humans remain the final arbiters of meaning, value, and legitimacy.
• Commons First - The web is not raw material to be strip‑mined. It is a living commons. AI must be designed to sustain its diversity, not hollow it out.
• Polycentric Governance - No single corporation or state should dictate the terms of AI–web coexistence. Governance must be distributed, participatory, and accountable.
