The IEEE recently accepted a presentation abstract from our ANCR Work Group for their IEEE Symposium on Privacy Expectations (ISoPE).
The paper "Transparency Performance Indicators – A User-Centric Methodology for Measuring the PII Controller Compliance and Conformance" focuses on the legal requirements for notice and, as a result, consent on the part of PII Controllers (data controllers i.e. the appointed individual within an organization). It suggests organizations use the international standards spearheaded by Kantara Initiative's ANCR and, before it, CIS workgroups.
We believe this will address consent deceit with a notice and consent receipt and create standardized records.
