Full Title or Meme

A cable that consists of a central conductor surrounded by insulation and a conductive braid or other shield around the outside.

Context

  • In most environments an outer protective covering is applied over the shield.
  • The capacity of a coaxial cable for either data or energy transmission is higher than other configurations, especially at high frequencies.
  • The RG-6 cable is a 75 Ohm cable with F-Type connectors. This is the same cable used with many cable/satellite TV devices
  • The original LAN cable used N-Type connectors.
