National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) leadership and collaboration on advancing mobile driver’s license (mDL) adoption in the financial sector. It’s designed to support both same-device and cross-device user experiences and centers around two key financial use cases:
- Identity proofing during new account opening
- Step-up verification for high-risk transactions
The architecture provides a clear, practical blueprint for how financial institutions can securely integrate mDLs into their workflows today.
