Definition

Electronic Attestations of Attributes, or EEAs are a type of digital document that can contain important information about ourselves. Examples include a university diploma, a boarding pass, or a driver’s license.

Context

The first implementation was credentials that be added, stored and presented with the EU Digital Identity Wallet. Although existing wallets have been able to store similar credentials, like the Smart Health Card (SHC), for years.
