A Particle is just a name for a sequence of events.

Context

No material particle has ever been measured to travel faster than light. Every material particle always travels less than one meter of distance in one meter of light-travel time. The cloud droplets created by the particle in a cloud chamber have a greater time separation than their separation in space. In other words, the worldline of a particle consists of events that have a time-like relation with one another and with the initial event. We say that a material particle follows a time-like worldline.

Implications

• All that we know about particles is the Events where they are involved.
