Internet Service providers introduced Zero pricing for some services to encourage usage.
Context
The free services were designed to:
- Encourage use of some promotional features,
- Get around the rules of Net Neutrality which is often mandated by local laws.
Problems
- Whenever there is a difference in pricing between different service offerings, the users will attempt to make all of their traffic fit into the "free" pricing scheme.[1]
